Fjällkloka äventyr was founded in the spring of 2025 by Jonn Nilsson with a simple conviction: with the right tools, everyone can develop their judgment and feel more freedom in the mountains.

I think real freedom in the mountains doesn’t come from more miles on the map or more expensive equipment. It comes from understanding why we make our decisions, to be able to read the terrain, the weather and ourselves. Therefore, the goal of every trip is not only to show you the way of the mountains, but to give you the tools to feel greater independence and trust in your own judgment in order to make your own, wiser decisions through all your future adventures.

With a background in, among other things reindeer husbandry and the hospitality industry, it has given me a perhaps unique approach to guide activities, especially in our Swedish mountains. I believe that sustainable tourism is based on understanding, mutual respect and a long-term perspective.

The name Fjällkloka is therefore not about having all the answers. It’s about an approach. Thinking longer than the next crest, creating margins before they are needed and make thoughtful decisions even when the conditions change. For me, that’s where the best experiences start.

I collaborate with local companies that share my values and contribute to greater sustainability and genuine nature experiences. I want to help strengthen the industry as a whole and promote the sustainable. The idea for a guiding business was born sometime during previous mountain treks and grew into Fjällkloka äventyr during my education to mountain leader.
